This time next week, Surrey County Council will start upgrading the pedestrian crossing on Old Woking High Street, near the junction with Shackleford Road.

For around a week from Tuesday 30th November, the County Council will be replacing the traffic lights on the pedestrian crossing.

Similar to the current works on Kingfield Road, whilst the Council are upgrading the traffic lights, they will use temporary traffic lights.  But these will only replace the current pedestrian crossing, so the lights will only be red to traffic when a pedestrian wants to cross.  Therefore, these works should not add to the congestion caused by the Victoria Way closure.
