Surrey County Council has today launched a consultation on changing parking restrictions across Woking.
The Council will soon deliver letters to all the properties potentially affected with a copy of the plans and information regarding the proposed changes, and requesting them to participate in the formal consultation process – the public consultation will run from 4th August to 1st September.
Following requests by local residents, I have worked for several months with County Council staff on these possible new parking restrictions in South Woking. Please see a full list and description of suggested changes here.
The Council is proposing installing double yellow lines on parts of Brooklyn Road, Elmbridge Lane, Hill View Road, Howards Road, Kingfield Gardens, Mount Hermon Road, Thorseden Close, Westfield Avenue, Westfield Road and Vicarage Road. The Council also wants to install a few more residents’ parking bays on Canewden Close and Hill View Road, a car club on Montgomery Road and amend the time restriction on the single yellow lines on Westfield Avenue from 11 am – 4 pm to 1 pm – 2 pm.
If you have any views on the proposed changes, please give the County Council your feedback here.Leave a comment
