If the plans were approved, the secondary school would expand its capacity by one-form of entry in September 2016. This would increase the capacity of the school from 750 to 900 pupils – allowing 180 pupils, rather than the current 150, to join the school at the start of each academic year.
The County Council states this proposed expansion is needed to meet the growing demand for school places in Woking, and I think they are right that we need more secondary school places. However, I want to make sure Bishop David Brown is the right school to meet that need – or at least until the Hoe Valley Free School hopefully opens up – so please have your say on the plans here.Leave a comment
