I am pleased to say that Surrey County Council has agreed to my request for the worst parts of Kingfield Road and Wych Hill Lane to be resurfaced.

The County Council will resurface the section of Kingfield Road opposite the junction with Westfield Avenue and Wych Hill Lane between Kingfield Road and Turnoak roundabout.  Although the work has not yet been scheduled, the Council has committed to doing it within this financial year.

I am sure you will agree with me that this road is an absolutely key route in Woking’s highway network, yet it is in an appalling state – the recent roadworks by the utility companies have only made it worse. I have had to report countless potholes here and frequently asked for it to be properly resurfaced.

Whilst the resurfacing work is being done, it will no doubt cause traffic delays and inconvenience for residents, but I am sure the disruption will be worth it in the end.
